During the Miami Grand Prix 2025, a unique and playful event occurred before the race: this year's traditional drivers parade was held with LEGO cars. Max Verstappen, who starts from pole position, gave his thoughts on this special parade. The LEGO drivers parade in Miami was part of a broader collaboration between LEGO and
Formula 1, which began earlier this year. Thanks to this collaboration, avid F1 fans can now buy small LEGO versions of last season's F1 cars. Of course, fans have to assemble the cars themselves. The parade provided unique footage of the drivers in their 'own' LEGO cars.
Lego debris left on the track
Verstappen could see the humour in it. "Yeah, I think they need to sweep the track. There's quite a bit of LEGO debris on the road now," joked the Dutchman. "A few cars collided along the way, but yeah, it's a bit different, that's for sure. Ours is a bit slow on top speed, so we slowly dropped back throughout the lap, but it's more important to actually clean the track at the moment.
On X, there are images of Verstappen in his 'brand new' LEGO car.
