Isack Hadjar achieved his very first podium in Formula 1 at Circuit Zandvoort. The Frenchman finished the Dutch GP behind Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri. The strong performance of the Racing Bulls driver raised questions again about a promotion to Red Bull Racing. However, neither Hadjar nor Verstappen were convinced by this idea.
The question was asked about what the dynamics within the Austrian racing team would be if Hadjar were to join. Responding first to this, among others, was Verstappen to GPblog: “Terrible.”
There was quite a bit of laughter and after a moment of silence the four-time world champion completed his response. “I'm joking!” However, a real answer was not provided.
Hadjar himself also answered this question. Still smiling due to Verstappen’s comment, he stated: “I don't want to be next to Max, I don't like him!”
Another round of laughter ensued, after which no further response was given. The Frenchman did, however, indicate before the summer break that he was ready for this step, should the opportunity arise. The form of the 21-year-old Racing Bulls driver is clearly still present after the holiday.
