Max Verstappen has now revealed who the best padel players are in the competition, as the sport continues to take over the F1 grid.

"I'm pretty sure that Carlos [Sainz] and Pierre [Gasly] are probably the best padel players. Plus, I think like George [Russell], I know that he plays quite often as well."

Padel continues taking over the Formula 1 paddock. Drivers and teams frequently post on social media having a play about on the court before taking their cars to the track.

Four-time world champion Verstappen is no different in this regard. Like many others on the grid, the Dutchman also enjoys the sport.

"Yes, I play with Yuki [Tsunoda], and as teammates as well, and we enjoy it. I enjoy playing padel," Verstappen said in a video by Hypebeast.

"I started probably like two years ago, with no like history of even like playing tennis or any other kind of racket sport.

"So it took a bit of time to get up to speed, but it's getting better. Let's say it like that," the Red Bull driver said with a smile.

Verstappen also revealed who he thinks are the best players on the grid: "I'm pretty sure that Carlos [Sainz] and Pierre [Gasly] are probably the best padel players.

"Plus, I think like George [Russell], I know that he plays quite often as well. They're good," he concluded.

After sharing the front row of the grid, Russell and Verstappen went on to first and second at the Singapore Grand Prix as well last Sunday.
