GPblog understands that the youngster will in action replacing four-time world champion Verstappen.
This will be Lindblad's second time driving the RB21 at a Formula 1 weekend. He previously replaced Yuki Tsunoda during FP1 of the British Grand Prix.
This will be the second time that Verstappen isn't driving in an FP1 session, with Ayumu Iwasa being in action during the Bahrain GP. It is mandatory for every driver to sit out two sessions throughout the season, which will be then completed by the Dutchman.
Lindblad is currently seventh in the Formula 2 standings with two weekend to go. So far, he has won a Sprint and Feature Race each in the feeder series.
