Arvid Lindblad will replace Max Verstappen during FP1 of the Mexico City Grand Prix.
Speaking to a select group of publications, including GPblog, Helmut Marko already confirmed on Friday that the British talent will be in action in FP1 next weekend.
At the time, Red Bull’s top advisor answered briefly, without clarifying whether Lindblad will drive for Red Bull Racing or Racing Bulls
GPblog understands that the youngster will be in action replacing four-time world champion Verstappen.
This will be Lindblad's second time driving the RB21 at a Formula 1 weekend. He previously replaced Yuki Tsunoda during FP1 of the British Grand Prix.
This will also be the second time that Verstappen will not drive in an FP1 session this year, with Ayumu Iwasa having taken his seat at the Bahrain GP. It is mandatory for every driver to sit out two practice sessions during the season.
Lindblad is currently seventh in the Formula 2 standings with two weekends left to go in 2025. So far, he has won the Sprint race in Jeddah, and the Feature Race in Barcelona this year.
