Sky Sports analyst and former F1 champion Jacques Villeneuve points to a particularly 'scary' moment for Max Verstappen. A serendipitous event, or a mistake by Red Bull Racing.
Max Verstappen's Friday has not been an easy one with several issues plaguing not only his FP1 session, but also his FP2 as well.
"The car looks like a handful. It's hard to drive. He's really muscling it through," was how Villeneuve assessed Verstappen's Friday sessions during Sky Sports' broadcast.
In the end, there wasn't much hope for the Dutchman given his lowly results in both sessions, - P7 and P5 - that he would pose any kind of a threat to McLaren.

Verstappen's scary moment during FP2, coincidence or mistake by Red Bull?

During FP2 Verstappen complained that his throttle foot was hitting something and urged Red Bull to look into it.
In the late stages of the session however, the Dutchman revealed that the source of - at least one - of his troubles was a nut. Indeed, a nut had become loose and subsequently dettached as it could be inferred from the Dutchman's words who at one point had it in his hand.
Villeneuve found the moment to be a 'scary' one due to the potential consequences.
"But finding a nut in your pedals, woah, that's scary because it could lock the gas pedal or the brake pedal. "
"Does it come from the car that something came loose or was it forgotten there. That's something to find out," concluded the Canadian.

Villeneuve: So tight in Piastri vs Norris duel

Sky Sports F1's Jacques Villeneuve:
"Piastri is definitely handling this car well. He is reacting well to pressure.
"So is it him that's stepped up this year or Lando with the pressure that's stepped down a little bit?
"It's ever so tight. It's two hundredths, three hundredths of a second. It's nothing."
