What will the weather be like in Budapest this weekend? Will we see a dry race again, or will rain once again play a leading role like at Silverstone and Spa? Let’s take a look at the current weather forecast for the Hungarian GP.

Just days after the Belgian GP wrapped up, Formula 1 is ready to arrive in Hungary at another historic and much-loved track by the drivers—the Hungaroring—for the fourteenth round of the season.

The Hungarian circuit, with races often swinging between extreme heat and heavy rain, can significantly affect the outcome of the Grand Prix.

We arrive in Budapest with Oscar Piastri riding high after his win at Spa and a strengthened lead in the championship, while Lando Norris and Max Verstappen look for redemption on a track that has historically favored them.

The same goes for Lewis Hamilton, who has won here nine times and is aiming to secure at least his first podium with Ferrari after a bittersweet weekend at Spa.

Will rain affect the Hungarian GP?

According to the latest forecasts, Friday should see mostly sunny skies with a few scattered clouds, a high of 29 degrees, and a 25% chance of rain. FP1 and FP2 are therefore expected to take place in dry conditions, barring any surprises.

On Saturday, however, the situation could change drastically. Temperatures will remain similar, but the chance of rain rises to 75%, with light showers expected in the morning followed by a thunderstorm.

On Sunday, race day, the chance of rain drops slightly but remains at 60%, with temperatures expected around 25 degrees. There is therefore a real risk that the race will take place in wet conditions or at least partially so. The situation could still change as the days go by.
