After the Miami Grand Prix, Peter Windsor had harsh words for the Ferrari team. The Italian Scuderia is not doing well this season, and even during the sixth race of the season, the team was in complete chaos. Windsor commented on how poorly Ferrari performed with its strategy and took the opportunity to criticise the livery for the race in the United States. "They were absolutely pathetic today. I don't know whether it's a function of how ugly their car looks in that livery, that HP livery. Just terrible." Windsor began his analysis on his YouTube channel. "I talked about it yesterday. I don't know why, but it looked even worse today. I don't know if it was the light or the angle of the sun or whatever it was, but the white wheels and the whole thing just looked absolutely horrendous. I don't know what they're thinking."
The Miami Grand Prix was a debacle for Leclerc and Hamilton
During the race, Ferrari raised eyebrows once again with their tactics.
Charles Leclerc and
Lewis Hamilton finished in seventh and eighth place, but there was confusion over team orders during the race. Hamilton was faster than Leclerc during the race, and thus wanted to pass the Monegasque. After two laps, this happened, but according to Leclerc, Hamilton did not pull away quickly enough. Then followed another position swap, but the returning of the place was also not exactly smooth. During the race, Leclerc and Hamilton expressed their frustration over the radio.
After Sunday's race, Leclerc said, "Most of the time I say something, today I don't think I'll say anything. I think the story is going to be big enough already, and we need to do better, that's for sure. Today was not ideal and was far from maximising our potential, but we've got to regroup as a team and be better."
