Christian Horner is said to be in talks with Ferrari regarding a role in the Scuderia.
Throughout his career Horner has often been linked to Ferrari. But up until now those rumours were shut down by the former Red Bull boss given his commitment to the Austrian team. However, those ties have now been severed and the future lays itself wide open for the 51-year-old.
After Horner and Red Bull reached an agreement on the terms of his termination, the Briton was issued an approximately £52 million payment for the services rendered and put on a gardening leave which extends into the spring of 2026. After that period, Max Verstappen's former boss may return to F1 in any capacity he so desires.
According to the Daily Mail, though, Horner is in talks with Ferrari at the moment, since, as reported in Italian media, the Scuderia's President John Elkann would've supposedly lost faith in Frédéric Vasseur's leadership of the Italian marque's F1 project.
The British tabloid further claims that Ferrari are 'wooing' Horner, who, on the other hand, is keeping communication lines open with other Formula 1 teams who would like to add Horner's sterling résumé and capabilities to their ranks. The other teams, however, remain unnamed in the report.
During the Singapore Grand Prix what team Horner could end up in his return to Formula One was a topic addressed during the team representatives' press conference. Andy Cowell, Aston Martin's team boss, stated that it was up to his former Red Bull rival to clarify what he wanted for the future. His Williams counterpart, James Vowles also weighed in on the issue. You can read his comments here.
