Daniel Ricciardo has suffered an injury while riding a motorbike in Australia, just days after making his first public appearance since making the decision to retire from Formula 1, according to rumours.

As reported by PlanetF1, the eight-time Grand Prix winner is believed to have picked up a collarbone injury whilst motorbiking through the Daintree region in northern Queensland.

Ricciardo was taken to Mossman Hospital, part of the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service, for treatment.

While the exact details of the accident are still unclear, reports suggest the former Red Bull and Racing Bulls driver's mood was good despite the accident.

The Australian is currently making his first steps is post-F1 retirement life, following his departure from Racing Bulls at the end of 2024.

Although details on the crash remain limited, rumours point to Ricciardo being told to remain under observation following the injury. This, however, remains unconfirmed.
