Anyone who doesn't give Max a pass is (in his way of thinking apparently) problematic...which is in and of itself very deeply problematic... Masi will likely receive his lifetime supply of Red Bull energy drinks and Max's approval (so long as he keeps helping him win races) for his MVP-worthy freestyle that offered alternative rules in the final laps of the race in Abu Dhabi. The new rules Masi developed changed the final outcome of a race Max would have never won. Never. Had Masi made that move for Lewis, Horner would have thrown a fit with nuclear options thrown in for good measure. Max would have deemed him problematic.. Red Bull faithful fans would have screamed and yelled for a punishment akin to his beheading, and may have even gone as fat as storming the F1 Gala venue in protest. Max & Company will have a problem with anyone who doesn't allow him to get away with the dirty tactics he applies to win when challenged. A pity given that he is so brilliant a driver. All those other drivers, team principals and owners on the grid who believe their silence in the midst of this injustice will curry them any favor with race leadership, they had all better think again. What happened to Lewis will happen to them (but to a lesser degree of course). Now that the powers that be have been allowed to commit this crime against fair sport without any punishment or sanction...this mess will only get worse. Charles LeClerc, Carlos Sainz, Lando Norris, Pierre Gasley, etc...it will be interesting to see how they will fair should they begin to win races that Max and his supporters feel Max "deserved" to win. What a concept. Now, hard work and superior ability, superioe strategy, and superior car construction (btw, isn't that why there is a "Constructors Championship?' Isn't one team supposed to build the best and fastest car? lol), can all be wiped away if one group of people feel entitled to or deserving of a win they did not earn outright. Blimey.... If this BS is allowed to continue, F1 will have all the credibility of the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), where clumsily executed feats of spin designed to make true manufactured rivalries, storylines, and championshilp outcomes are the norm.. On F1, all this will be served up as red meat to those masses of people desperate for a good-old-boy-approved victor. Some within F1 have determined that this formula expands viewership and makes more money. So sadly, what we are seeing is now is likely only the beginning of the decline of what was once a highly revered sport of precision. A pity. Max, again, is a brilliant driver. His skill and abilities should be allowed to speak for themselves. Horner should be helping to groom him, foster the belief within Max that fair, safe play can happen while being competitive at the highest level. Instead, Horner indulges the worst impulses in Max, covers for him when he has stepped well over the line and gets his confederacy of supporters to do the same. One day, Max will do something something that will get someone seriously hurt. Seriously. That braking business in Saudi Arabia should have resulted in a VERY heavy punishment. Instead, nothing. If Max does something lime that or worse to a driver not as skilled as Lewis and the unspeakable happens (God forbid), what then? Will Horner soften the blow by offering to send that driver"s family a lifetime supply of Red Bull energy drinks? Sorry, but Horner did offer to send Latifi the same after he crashed his car and cost his team thousands of dollars. How crass that was. How unsportsmanlike like. And yet zero repercussions. Lewis and Toto opt not to give the farse that was the F1 2021 chanpionship gala any credibility by attending...and after that blatant feat of race interference we all witnessed, recorded on video for posterity...F1 leadership threatens to fine Lewis for...wait got it..."breaking the rules"? LOL Really? This would all be bloody hilarious were it not so freaking tragic. Nothing good will come of this two rules policy F1 has adopted. Max's words paint him as entitled, as someone used to getting his way. If a steward dares try to remind him that there is in fact a line over which he will suffer consequences if crossed, that steward is deemed problematic Something has to be done to stop this trend now. These men are driving at very high rates of speed. The rules are there ultimately to keep everyone safe. The rules should never be used as Masi used them in that Abu Dhabi final.

This has nothing to do with Max and everything to do with race interference. Max was losing that race until Masi and the stewards gave him that win by creating new rules. Max did not win that race without help from them, full-stop. A lot of underhanded moves had to happen for Max to win that title. This was all done to make Max the future of F1 and keep good old boys on top with the Schumacher record unbroken (for now) by Lewis. What Mercedes and the rest of the grid fail to realize is, today it is Lewis, tomorrow it is any one of them upon which the two sets of rules will be applied. By taking the "high road" here, the course of F1 has been altered in ways most cannot see just yet. All who sit silent now will wish they spoke up and called for an independent investigation, and removed Masi and the stewards involved in this mess. Going forward, all it will take is Max complaining about others doing to him what he does to them on team radio and poof, rules will be changed to make sure he comes out on top as needed. That is the only way Max *won* in Abu Dhabi. That was not a display of the expert driving he IA more than capable of. What we saw instead is just how far rules get bent to give for some and not for others. The two sets of rules to benefit those who crested them is nothing new beyond F1. Sad as Max could have won a championship legitimately under his own steam. But he and others felt entitled to that win, felt entitled to changing the course of history (another theme also at play beyond F1) to fit the narrative some wanted to bring about. They pulled the options available to them to make that happen, in a long term strategy to make breaking Schumacher's record something someone they choose gets to do.. Sadly, not even sport is safe from that impulse these days. A pity. Max and Team Red Bull have an awful lot of ground to cover before Max can approach 7 title wins let alone 8. Given the talent on the grid, and given Max's temperament, that will not be easy. Max also has to prove that he can actually win a championship without another epic feat of race interference on the part of race leadership. I think he can. The powers that be really should have given him a chance to do so legitimately.

They can spin all they like. That last race will come back to haunt Max and Team Red Bull. The video above claiming that anyone should feel sorry for Masi... Really? Astonishing. Again,, if they repeat a bold-faced lie or wishful thinking long enough, some believe it will become true. That tactic does work unfortunately on many willing to believe a narrative that fits they world view they want to make a reality. However no matter the long the rotation on repeat, Masi violated rules to orchestrate the most epic feat of race interference by race officials in F1 history, in full view of millions. Despite that debacle, Masihas not yet been suspended let alone fired. So, due to the two sets of rules at play in F1, Masi has actually done quite for himself so far. No feeling sorry necessary. If Latifi gets a lifetime supply of Red Bull energy drinks , I wonder what Horner will be gifting Masi for his role in supplying (with a big orange bow) that race *win*. The two set of rules used applied to force that race outcome will ruin F1 if allowed to go unchecked. Someone will get seriously hurt if drivers are allowed to behave as Max did at points in Saudi Arabia and in that final. Other drivers like Lando and others have commented on this. A dangerous precedent this sets for sure. But if and when the proverbial chickens do come home to roost, hopefully, the members of Team Red Bull and their faithful will be "good sports" about their "bad luck" if and when karma does as it does. What a mess...

So when the Stewards and race director actually give Max the same penalties as other drivers would receive fora given violation of the rules how accepting they will be. Lewis Hamilton lost becoming F1 Champion by 1 point in his rookie year (not four years in) because Alonso employed a dirty tactic--sitting in the pit after his car was serviced to make Lewis Hamilton lose time. He was treated then and in his feelings about Hamilton's "tsunami of talent" as he called it, and is still in his feelings to date. The two sets of rules and two ways of viewing truth clouded by a blindness akin to partisanship will destroy this sport. Max would never leave F1, and the stories coming out now about him possibly leaving are more spin than truth to counter talk of Lewis Lewis leaving the sport. If F1 leadership will force race outcomes as they have this season, what is the use of working that hard? Lewis didn't object and he will come to regret that. He is trying to take the proverbial high road with people who know nothing of that nor have any respect for that stance. As a driver who has won so many championships, and who I will eventually break that record to win 8 championships, I can appreciate why Lewis would not want to win that way. Because many will view it as a false, a win handed to him that he would have never won if not for the deliberate interference of race leadership. Team Red Bull would lead the charge to discredit a *win* like that. The issue here is not track limits or splitting hairs on a call. This was blatant race interference. This was F1 establishment creating new rules as they went along to have the person that thru and Red Bull leadership have determined to be the new fair-haired leader of the sport, to win. Spin and revisionist history will not change a thing about that dirty race and the fake *win* bestowed on a driver who is brilliant in his own right. RB has to keep spinning to try to make this robbery.seem justified. A pity.

Just because someone with the last name Schumacher says the race was "fair" at the restart does NOT make it so. More alternative facts to justify an unconscionable series of events that have brought disgraced to the reputatuon of F1. With this controversy, F1 went from an elite sport known for precision and skill, to a place where a gaggle of good old boys can make sure that those good old boys they feel "deserve" to win, win. That is what this looks like, and it will be true if something is not done to make this sham right. We are where we are in the world today because some of us have decided that truth is no longer necessary or important. Truth and facts don't matter. What can be spun to serve as a proxy for the truth to fit a given narrative--true or not--does. This is why some of us can look at that race and see what happened plainly, while others can't see what the big fuss is about, unless it happened to them and took away a result they felt entitled to directly. Not one person currently happy that Max *won" would be super-chill if he was robbed the way Lewis was in Abu Dhabi. The reason? Because that race result was due to an unconscionable, calculated set of actions perpetrated in front of millions who viewed this event around the world in real time. Corporate sponsors need to look at this, and decide that they don't want to be associatef with an organization that could allow this wrong go without correction. This was wrong plain and simple. Statements spun to serve as a proxy for the truth, again, do not truth make. The litmus test is here is had this happened to Max, would all be well and fine? Nope. Absolutely not, and very rightfully so.

Orchestrate one of the most outrageous and desperate debacles ever witnessed by millions around the world during a live broadcast to steal a championship *win*, then act offended and quote the same rule book your race director and stewards violated when chose to hand Max the win tied up with with bright orange bow..Hilarious. F1 looks so STUPID right about now... Christian Horner and the Orange Army faithful would have stormed that venue and would never even consider participating. And they would be viewed as rightfully upset as that *win" was not justly earned. Again, the litmus test: If this happened to Max would Team Red Bull and fans be okay with that? Umm...NOPE. But for Lewis and Toto, the rules are different. The expectations higher somehow. And THAT is what is going to end F1's as a distinguished brand that embodies competition and precision at the highest levels. The two sets of rules thing lands like a lead balloon. It guts the integrity F1 was perceived to embody. It makes the institution look like a bunch of good old boys desperately trying to force race outcomes for a certain driver, i.e., Max, who DOES NOT need anyone's help, as he is a brilliant driver in his own right. Team Red Bull's alternative facts campaign is well underway with rendition after rendition of 'if we say a thing enough times, over and over again, bold-faced lies become the truth.' F1 leadership is also leveraging this tactic with threats of fines for Lewis and Toto for not playing along more than they already have, bless their hearts, which makes F1 look even more ridiculous. I can't wait to see the reaction if does F1 try to fine Lewis and Toto for not wanting to smile, eat, drink and do step-and-repeats with with those who conspired to rob them as they did.. Good for them. Were Red Bull or any other team so fantastically wronged, I would hope they would do the same. Bravo.

Masi must go for the good of the sport. The stewards involved must go. Messaging and emails between Red Bull representatives, Masi and the stewards should be reviewed by an independent investigative body. If some great robbery like this happens to Max, and all fans and Red Bull leadership are quiet as church mice about the injustice that was that race in Abu Dhabi, then be just as quiet when Mercedes gets the same "love." Not a sound. You would have to be blind and deaf not to understand what went on here and it is an outrage. The lot of them should be investigated. This cannot be brushed under the rug. These drivers go a hundreds of miles per hour at points. When Max does what he did with the brakes in Saudi Arabia, what if Lewis were very seriously harmed or worse? They what? An apology? Max, Marco and Christian weeping openly at a press conference? Really? Nope. That incident needs to be looked at and a right proper punishment placed. If Lewis did that to Max, all HELL would have broken lose. Is Lewis' life and safety any less important? Any less valuable? This is all so very upsetting. And understand, if Lewis did that to Max, I would have been OUTRAGED. 100%. This is about what is right. The rules are there for a reason. The next time Masi and the stewards involved in this mess give deliberately confusing directions and bend the rules to meet the needs of one particular driver and influence a race outcome, and some one is mortally injured because of it, we all want to wait for that to happen? This is serious. News flash - Lewis will beat that record. What will they do next to stop that from happening? The project of that, given what they got away with here frightens me to be honest. Something must be done about thIs NOW.
