I suspect race control didn’t want to delay sprint race finish any longer. The stewards still have plenty of work to do. They might even kick Max out of Miami if they give him enough penalty points03-05-2025 19:14

Fortunately next years cars will already be much less of a ground effect cars. I believe the amount of work that you can do on the underfloor is quite limited as of next year03-05-2025 18:25

For racing in wet conditions it would be great if we would get rid of these big tires. Together with getting rid of the current ground effect cars which throw up massive amounts of spray through the floor, that would help visibility massively. Maybe we would see racing in real wet conditions using wet wheather tires again03-05-2025 18:14

An article not about Verstappen and yet you manage to reference to him and make accusations….01-05-2025 16:30

Yes indeed, I think a strip of gravel would stop reduce incidents like this. I think it would go both ways. Drivers on the inside would leave more space and drivers on the outside would not cut the corner. This is also where the smaller cars come in. Easier to leave more space and allowing drivers to duel through a corner more easily.21-04-2025 17:12

Couldnt actually agree more. It’s almost like you read my mind and were able to write it down better than I could have :) Personally, I don’t like this specific rule. But hey, the drivers and teams agreed upon it and I believe even clarified it after Austin. I would prefer to go back to early and mid 2000’s rulebook wise that would allow for harder racing and smaller cars that allow for better racing. 2026 is a start in the latter aspect21-04-2025 12:32

It is indeed an identical decision as at the Norris vs Verstappen incident at Austin last year. Good to see the rule book being applied consistently now. That being said I think it’s quite funny seeing certain seeing people applauding the Verstappen penalty, but meanwhile went mental at Norris’ penalty last year. Accusing the FIA of favoritism for Verstappen. Looks like taking any opportunity to trashtalk a specific driver even if it means contradicting your previous opinion just to suit their narrative.21-04-2025 10:47

Pretty much agree with this and your other post summarizing your view of the race at this article. I’m quite relieved with the pace that Ferrari showed. Even on the hard tyre it wasn’t that bad compared to others. Their upgrades seem a good step forward Only the point that you are making about Max gaining from the SC I’m not quite sure of whether it benifitted him. He just had his new mediums on for a couple of laps and the others basically got a free pit stop. Basically he traded in being on older tyres for track position by not taking the SC pit stop. Saying that I agree his pace in clear air did not seem that bad at all. He just had trouble clearing Ocon and Gasly. I think that RB just his a tiny optimal operating window and is very sensible to the smallest of variables. But you can’t really say the RB is a tractor. Suzuka showed it’s right up there when they get everything perfect13-04-2025 19:20
