I disagree. I think they should base the car on the driver who has shown to get the most out if it and at this time that's Charles.03-06-2025 23:04

His team should have informed him all they had were new hards or old softs when he asked for new tires. That's their job, to inform their driver of his options. Also you're intentionally conflating two quotes to paint the false picture they're related to one another. The truth is that one is a quote from Russel who claimed that Max had made that threat; a claim Max refuted publicly. The second is about the critism Max voiced about Russell lying to the stewards. At no point did Max admit to saying that first quote let alone state that he didn't regret saying it.03-06-2025 22:54

Chocolate flavored even. I'm sorry, I love chocolate but the idea of something chocolate flavored mixed with my armpit sweat is a hard pass for me lol.03-06-2025 22:22

"Leading to a move that was not right and shouldn't have happened." Literal admittance that it was "not right". That's him admitting he was wrong. The problem is even if he had used the words "I'm sorry" or "I apologize" you and others like you would have still brushed it off and claimed it's just some PR speak. Well, what about the time George apologized then? Who's to say that that wasn't his PR team doing it? Or what about the time Lewis apologized about his comments about his nephew wearing a dress? Who's to say he actually wrote that and not his PR team?03-06-2025 17:04

Okay, but by that token I can make similar judgements about Hamilton. Perhaps not in these types of incidents but there have been several occasions of him exhibiting poor behaviour towards not only his team but other drivers as well. Based on various radio and media snippets I could easily conclude that he's only putting on appearances but shows his true character in moments like that. Is Max's temper a character flaw? Absolutely. I won't deny that. But his flaws aren't the one defining characteristic about him. There are plenty of good character traits he has exhibited that just seem to be willfully ignored.03-06-2025 16:56

No. That's not even in the same stratosphere. Monza was a desperate divebomb to get the position back he'd just lost because of a poor pitstop. Saying that Monza was deliberate is the same as saying Hamilton taking out Max in Silverstone was deliberate.03-06-2025 16:46

The FIA imposed a two day community service on Max for pushing Ocon. Also you're leaving out vital context which is that Ocon laughed at Max and goaded him. 'I walked up to him to hear what he had to say, and ask him how this could happen. And the first thing he did was laughing, straight at my face. And considering I just lost a race victory, I think that's a really inappropriate response. So I pushed him, to tell him like; what are you doing? And then he immediately started screaming "get the cameras in' and 'push me? push me!". That response made me push him again.' Yes Max has had a few times where he made poor decisions but absolutely nothing like this. And he's also not the only driver who's made poor decisions while angry so to act like he is is kind of dishonest.03-06-2025 16:44

I actually don't find it funny at all. It's well known that there will be people who take this seriously and at face value so the only reason for someone to do this is to incite more animosity for their own pleasure.03-06-2025 14:02

I disagree. He's done sketchy things in the past yes but nothing of this calibre. And he might not have regretted it at the time but I believe he does now. And honestly I can easily point to plenty of other social media posts from other drivers and say that it's just PR bs.03-06-2025 13:59

Okay, fair enough. But then you should afford the same leniency to anyone who voices opinions in a similar fashion about, say, Hamilton, Toto, Zak or whoever. Otherwise you're kinda judging similar things by different standards.03-06-2025 13:06
