I certianly can see you point about the sessions vs the race. I would ask then is a crash or damage to car diffrent in practice vs the race. Magically does free practice reduce the damage and danger of an action by a driver.07:59

@Wim, are you saying the stewards should have penalized Russell? George Russell and Valtteri Bottas crash: Stewards deliver verdict and rule neither driver was at fault | F1 News | Sky Sports https://share.google/I2OcRGWCYWGipZt8D I agree Russell deserved a penalty for his misbehavior it eas the same as Max shoving Ocon and Max crashing into another car deliberately. They all are wrong and deserve penalties. Getting back to the towel, based on the example you used you saying Max should have been penalized?07:55

I belive they have great leader in Mekies and he will need at least 2 seasons to turn things around . Yuki did have the exact same car as Max in Imola and smashed his upgraded floor at that point, since that race Yuki & Max have had different cars. Thats a fact . I am intrigued at the fact Yuki finished ahead of Max in FP2. Unfortunately you seem to be wanting to have altercation vs a discussion. I tried ,enjoy FP307:49

"In Formula 2 (not F1), George Russell (now a well-known F1 driver) was fined €3,000 and given a penalty point in May 2018. He had removed and thrown a water bottle from his cockpit during a virtual safety car period at the Barcelona feature race. The bottle had rattled free and was initially carried between his legs over several laps before being discarded when it was safe to do so " Guess a towel is not a bottle01-08-2025 22:30

Where both drivers using the same rear wing? Hopefully tomorrow will be better for Lewis, but overall very encouraging from Ferrari.01-08-2025 22:29

I read this about an incident in F2 : In Formula 2 (not F1), George Russell (now a well-known F1 driver) was fined €3,000 and given a penalty point in May 2018. He had removed and thrown a water bottle from his cockpit during a virtual safety car period at the Barcelona feature race. The bottle had rattled free and was initially carried between his legs over several laps before being discarded when it was safe to do so . My question is are the stewards making decisions based on the outcome vs the act . If that towel was stuck in the brake duct if another car or intake , would that then have resulted in a harsher punishment.01-08-2025 22:27
