Max Verstappen, his team participated during the race weekend in the Netherlands, but for Thierry Vermeulen, it was a disappointing weekend. The Dutchman dropped out during the first race, only ending up in 13th place at the end of the second race as a result of a penalty.
Rain causes a chaotic spectacle in Zandvoort
The rain that fell in Zandvoort, which can be massively heavy, ensured that there was a lot of chaos and intrigue during the race.
Even in the pit lane, with all the cars coming in due to the conditions, plenty of disarray took place, with footage visible on TikTok showing that was the case for team after team.
At one point, there was even a BMW mechanic seen lying on the ground, overtaken in the pit lane shortly after. Images of the chaos can be seen below.
Remarkable news also came from René Rast. The German managed to win the second race of the weekend but was later taken to the hospital. It later turned out he had hit his head when trying to climb over the pit wall onto the starting grid.
