The entry list for the iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans has been released, with many ex-F1 drivers, including a former world champion, taking part in the endurance race.
The fourth round of the World Endurance Championship will take place on the 14-15 June, with an extended entry list announced for the world-famous 24-hour race around the 8.469-mile Circuit de la Sarthe.
Last year, Ferrari made it back-to-back wins at Le Mans, winning the Hypercar class with the #50 car driven by Nicklas Nielsen, Antonio Fuoco and Miguel Molina, just beating out the #7 Toyota driven by Jose Maria Lopez, along with former F1 drivers Nyck de Vries and Kamui Kobayashi.

21 Hypercars include many ex-F1 drivers

In the Hypercar class for the 2025 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, no more than 21 entries have been officially announced.
There have been no changes to the #50 Ferrari that won last year, but the #7 Toyota sees Brit Mike Conway replace Lopez. The #51 Ferrari, which won the event in 2023, will also see a former F1 driver behind the wheel, with Antonio Giovinazzi racing alongside James Calado and Alessandro Pier Guidi.
Former world champion Jenson Button will also be taking part in the #38 Cadillac, with Earl Bamber and Sébastien Bourdais alongside him, while Kevin Magnussen, Robert Kubica and Mick Schumacher all take part in their respective teams. Reserve drivers Felipe Drugovich and Frederik Vesti will also be in the Hypercar class, racing the #311 Cadillac with former Williams reserve driver Jack Aitken.

Famous faces in the other Le Mans classes

Along with the LMGT3 class that always competes at every WEC round throughout the season, alongside the Hypercar class, there will be the LMP2 class joining the action.
Last year, the British team United Autosports, founded by McLaren CEO Zak Brown, took the LMP2 win, and they will look to do the same again. Formula E driver Antonio Felix da Costa and IMSA driver Louis Deletraz will be in this class, along with three-time W Series champion Jamie Chadwick.
In the LMGT3 class, the son of former F1 driver Rubens Barrichello, Eduardo Barrichello, will be behind the wheel, as well as nine-time motorcycle world champion Valentino Rossi in his #46 Team WRT car, sporting his iconic number.
