At the Hungaroring, Max Verstappen crossed the finish line in P9. After a difficult weekend for the team, do the readers of GPblog think the Dutchman can win another F1 Grand Prix this season?

After qualifying in eighth position, the Dutchman finished one place behind at the Hungaroring.

On Saturday when asked about whether he could win another race this season, he declared: "No. Not at the moment, no. Well, that's the way it is, isn't it? It is quite clear."

After the race, top advisor Helmut Marko also admitted that a world title for Verstappen in 2025 is no longer possible, as he is currently 97 points behind Oscar Piastri in the standings.

Verstappen was already not thinking about that ahead of the weekend in Hungary, he said on Thursday after he confirmed to GPblog among others that he will stay with Red Bull Racing for the 2026 season.

Does Verstappen still have a chance of winning in 2025?

Although Verstappen was not in contention to finish on the podium, hope for success this season has not yet faded at Red Bull Racing. Laurent Mekies, who was named team principal ahead of the Belgian Grand Prix after the Austrian team decided to let Christian Horner go, said: "No question, the McLarens are faster. But look at Spa, Max was able to fight on Saturday and surprise everyone in the sprint. So let's see. The season is still very long."

Entering the summer break, Verstappen remains in third place in the standings, having won two Grands Prix (Japan and Imola) and a Sprint (Belgium).

Will Max Verstappen be able to repeat that in 2025? Let us know by voting in the poll below, and in the comments section, make sure to write where the Dutchman could achieve his next victory!
