It’s not every day you take your pet dog to the cinema; however, Lewis Hamilton once did that. The Scuderia Ferrari driver recently revealed a light-hearted story about his trip to the movies with his beloved bulldog Roscoe—a moment that left several audience members laughing.
Hamilton, who recently spoke in an interview with Vogue Magazine about his life with his pet, recounted how he hs visit to the cinema with his pet panned out to be quite a spectacle.
The seven-time world champion also recounted how he even put on a pair of 3D glasses for the pet who sat beside him, watching intently before dozing off quickly.
“I don’t know if it’s strange, but I went to the movies with him a couple of times. The first time I went was to watch Guardians of the Galaxy. It was just him and me. It was 3D, and he sat on the chair next to me, and I put 3D glasses on him, and he sat there watching it for five minutes, and I just couldn’t stop laughing. I couldn’t focus on the movie."
"He’s just sitting there, he’s watching. You could tell he is so confused. And then he passed out on the chair, and he was snoring the whole movie. And everyone in the theatre was laughing because you could hear him snoring loudly.”
Lewis Hamilton also touched on how he adopted Roscoe as his pet. The former Mercedes driver detailed how he had carefully scanned through hundreds of pets before eventually settling for the bulldog.
“I scanned through probably a thousand dogs and looked through all these documents,” he stated.
Hamilton detailed that Roscoe’s dad was a Spanish champion, and his mother was an Irish champion. The British driver opted for one of the pair’s youngest puppies, and that marked the commencement of his story with his pet, who has developed into one of the most famous pets in F1 currently.
