
The Malaysian capital is set to kick off the 2026 MotoGP season by welcoming the riders and fans alike in a festivity-packed day of excitement and anticipation.
MotoGP has a long and dramatic history in the pacific nation with the Sepang International Circuit playing host to dramatic battles over the years such as Marquez vs Rossi in 2015 and Bagnaia vs Martin in 2024.
The event will be streamed live frin Kuala Lumpur on Saturday 7 February from 12 - 15:30pm CET (11am - 14:30pm GMT) on the MotoGP YouTube channel, and will feature most riders from the MotoGP grid as they look forward to the season ahead.
The launch is set to be a theatrical and city-wide event featuring a wide variety of entertainment from displays and showcases to interviews and the classic urban bike-run through the city.
The event offers fans the chance to see their favorite riders up close in a more relaxed atmosphere before they take to the track for the opening round of the season in Buriram, Thailand on 27 February - 1 March.

Yamaha's Fabio Quartararo is set to miss the remainder of pre-season testing after a heavy crash in Sepang which appeared to injure the French rider.
The first test sessions of the MotoGP season have been underway in Sepang this weekas the riders took to the track to familiarize themselves with their 2026 bikes.
Quartararo, who finished the day's second session in ninth place overall, crashed out at Turn 5 during the afternoon with preliminary reports suggesting that he has suffered a broken finger.
