Marc Marquez has given his predictions for the 2027 MotoGP grid and his picks have sparked some interesting discussions around several riders and teams.
As the looming regulation changes of 2027 approach, many are expecting MotoGP to experience one of the most unpredictable 'silly seasons' in recent memory.
All but a handful of riders will be out of contract at the end of the year, and some big names in the sport are already being rumoured to be on the move in the near future.
Marquez was presented with a layout of the grid for next year as part of a segment with the official MotoGP channel.
Among other things, Marquez notably left himself out of next season's grid, pairing his brother with present teammate Pecco Bagnaia at Ducati's factory team.
This has served to add fuel to the speculation that he may be considering retirement at the end of the season, as the Spaniard has been on-record saying that his body will give up sooner than his mind.
Aside from this, the reignining world champion also predicted that Jorge Martin would end up at Honda while Quartararo would go to Aprilia alongside Marco Bezzecchi.
Marquez also admitted to having 'too much information' when revealing Celestino Vietti as one of next season's VR46 riders.
Following an impressive 2025 campaign which saw "The Ant" reclaim his spot at the top of the MotoGP pecking order, the now nine-time world champion has been cautious yet ambitious ahead of the 2026 season opener in Thailand.
Speaking with Spanish media following the presentation of Ducati's new GP26, Marquez gave an update on his training and recovery.
