Alonso has a clear opinion whether fatherhood will change Verstappen's mentality

While Max Verstappen is missing from the media day in Miami as he is expected to become a father, his competitors were asked the Dutchman's first child. Fernando Alonso also believes the it will not change him on track.

Asked whether Verstappen will now have a different mentality, the Spaniard told Viaplay among others with a smile: "I don't think so! Not at the moment, I don't see that happening soon."

Earlier at the driver's press conference, the only father on the current F1 grid, Nico Hulkenberg was also asked about what advice would he give to Verstappen. The German underlined that becoming a father only benefited him, and the myth's of becoming slower once your child is born is not the case.

Moreover, Lewis Hamilton and George Russell also wished the Dutchman all the best. The Ferrari driver explained that when he briefly talked to Verstappen in Jeddah, the Red Bull driver also already sounded very excited.

Meanwhile, Verstappen appears to be on his way to the Miami Grand Prix, after previously GPblog reported that the delay is because his first child's arrival.
