
Lando Norris has won the Sprint race at the 2025 Sao Paulo Grand Prix, earning important points in the standings.
The Sprint podium was completed by the two Mercedes drivers, Kimi Antonelli and George Russell.
Max Verstappen finished in fourth place starting from P6 on the grid. After spinning out and hitting the wall in Turn 3, Oscar Piastri failed to collect any points today.
Following a hard-fought battle between Fernando Alonso and Charles Leclerc, the Monegasque driver crossed the finish line in P5.
Lewis Hamilton came close to overtaking the Spaniard as well, but narrowly missed out on gaining another position after his superb start at Interlagos.
Pierre Gasly claimed the final point of the Sprint at the Brazil GP.

UPDATE: After the session, Oliver Bearman received a five-second time penalty from the stewards for driving in a manner deemed potentially dangerous before making contact with Liam Lawson.
The Briton remains in P12, but after receiving another penalty point on his super license — bringing his total to nine — he is now just one incident away from a race ban.
The New Zealander also received the same punishment for causing a collision into Turn 4, which relegates him to P16.
