F1: The Movie picked up another award, taking home Best Sound at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Awards.
Released last June, the Formula 1-themed film — which achieved record-breaking worldwide box office success — has added another award to its collection after already securing several honours, including multiple nominations at the 2026 Oscars.
"The accolade recognises the sound team’s (Gareth John, Al Nelson, Gwendolyn Yates Whittle, Gary A. Rizzo and Juan Peralta) months of work, capturing and engineering the authentic audio of Formula 1 - from the on-track roar of the engines to the immersive circuit atmosphere," BAFTA shared.
As of today, the film starring Brad Pitt and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer has grossed an impressive $633,242,436 at the global box office, according to Box Office Mojo.

Speaking at the BBC Academy Awards luncheon in Los Angeles, Bruckheimer — best known for blockbuster films such as Top Gun and Armageddon — revealed that plans for a sequel are already taking shape.
He explained that work on the follow-up is already in progress, describing the original film as a long and challenging project due to the industry strikes that delayed production. Despite those obstacles, he noted that the movie ultimately connected with audiences worldwide, adding that collaborating with Brad Pitt for the first time had been a particularly rewarding experience.
