From the rumour involving Lewis Hamilton and Marc Hynes being clarified, to Adrian Newey’s Aston Martin AMR26 design turning heads in the paddock, we take a look at the happenings in F1 in our daily round-up.
Several outlets have continued to claim Hamilton and his manager had split ahead of the upcoming F1 season. However, GPblog can now confirm that this is entirely false.
Following years of collaboration, Hynes is indeed moving on, but not from Hamilton. Hynes is joining the Cadillac F1 outfit to work with Graeme Lowdon, whom he previously worked with at the Manor F1 team and as part of a driver-management company.

However, what is incorrect is the idea that Hynes was still Hamilton’s manager. In reality, he hasn’t held that role for years.
At the time, Hynes acted as a consultant in the deal between the seven-time world champion and Ferrari. He also provided advisory support within Hamilton’s company on the driver’s racing activities — but never as his manager.
While F1 continues to digest the news of Hamilton and Hynes, George Russell has not held back his thoughts on the Aston Martin AMR26 designed by Newey.
The Mercedes driver, in his recent media interaction, including GPblog, spotlighted the Aston Martin 2026 challenger as particularly impressive. The British driver detailed how the rear suspension remains one part of the car that has especially caught the attention of many, including himself and the Mercedes team.

However, Russell quelled any signs of worry about the car, highlighting the fact that F1 remains a sport defined by how quick a car can go, not how sexy it appears on track.
Newey, for his part, has described the design approach employed by the Aston Martin team and its mechanics as aggressive.
