The Mercedes team have confirmed their driver line-up for the 2026 campaign. Amid this, fresh reports of Lewis Hamilton voicing his frustration at Scuderia Ferrari have emerged. Let's take a look at Formula 1 today.

Mercedes confirm 2026 driver line-up

The Mercedes outfit have put to bed the swirling speculations regarding its driver line-up, with the announcement of both George Russell and Kimi Antonelli as its drivers for the 2026 campaign.

The pair, who currently drive for the Brackley-based outfit through the 2025 season, are now set to continue with the team through the 2026 campaign, which comes with sweeping changes to the Formula 1 scene.

While the Mercedes team did not specifically announce the length of the contracts the respective drivers signed, GPblog can confirm that Russell penned a multi-year deal, while Antonelli signed a contract until the conclusion of the 2026 campaign.

Hamilton reportedly voices frustration with Ferrari

Lewis Hamilton has once again voiced his frustration regarding the internal structure at Scuderia Ferrari. The seven-time world champion is reported to have sent a new report to the hierarchy at the Maranello-based team, detailing his call for changes in its methodology and on-track operations.

These reports of the British driver voicing his frustrations come amid the recent dip in form that the Ferrari team have suffered through the second half of the 2025 campaign. The Italians are yet to finish on the podium since Charles Leclerc’s third place at the Belgian Grand Prix.

Hamilton, for his part, has failed to match the pace of the front-runners for much of the campaign and has often had to settle for points-scoring finishes, as a podium remains elusive.

Amid these reports from the Italian media, team principal Fred Vasseur has issued a rallying call for the team to focus on turning around its fortunes at the United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA).
