Scuderia Ferrari have confirmed the launch date of their car for the 2026 Formula 1 season.

The Italian outfit announced that its 2026 challenger will be unveiled on 23 January, just three days before the opening pre-season test of the campaign, which begins on 26 January.

The launch event will take place at Fiorano, where both Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc are scheduled to take part in a shakedown of the as-yet-unnamed car.

The announcement by the Ferrari team coincides with that of Haas and Alpine, who have also set aside January 23rd for the unveiling of their respective 2026 cars.

This also brings the number of teams that have announced respective dates for their 2026 car launches to eight, with Williams, McLaren and Mercedes making up the trio left without a launch date so far for 2026.

Vasseur’s honesty questioned after SF-25 woes

Earlier, former F1 team owner Giancarlo Minardi questioned the honesty of Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur after his late admission about the development of the SF-25 challenger.

The 78-year-old pointed at the measure of public statements the French motorsport chief offers, citing dishonesty in his words.

Minardi stated Vasseur had hinted development was ongoing on the team’s 2025 car, but towards the end of the campaign, revealed the Maranello-based outfit had stopped its development as early as April. He concluded by stressing the need for Vasseur to learn the Italian language, citing how empathy often proves to be better than financial rewards.
