Tricky track in Zandvoort with a lot of drivers doing mistakes and multiples yellow flags. The first driver to make a mistake was Lewis Hamilton with a spin in turn 3 on his third lap without consequences. From then onwards we assisted to Tsunoda's trip in the gravel and to the first driver out in this FP1.

Antonelli had a bad braking and ended his FP1 in the wall and stuck in the gravel, nothing to do for him and red flag out.

Then after the end of the red flag we saw Piastri taking back the lead from Verstappen by 0.192s, with a mistake at turn 10. At the same time Norris and Sainz cutted turn 11 in the gravel without any consequence.

Piastri's lap marked the end of quali pace sim on medium tyres.

Norris set a 1:10.278 on fresh soft tyres, Piastri followed him 3 tenths away with not a great S2 time. Aston Martin and Williams shined taking the places behind the two MCL39s. Ferrari instead showed great difficulties, it's hard to find which plan they're following but they got a gap of 1.6s from Lando. Also Charles Leclerc wasn't so happy telling his engineer: "We have to focus on what we are doing, right now we are miles off"

Verstappen also struggled during the FP1 bringing his RB21 only on P6 behind two magnificent Aston Martins
