Charles Leclerc had to sit out the media session ahead of the start of the race weekend at Imola. His participation in the Grand Prix is now at risk, GPblog understands.
As the paddock began buzzing with life for the media day this Thursday, bad news arrived from the Ferrari camp: 'Leclerc would skip media day since he was feeling unwell.'

Leclerc at risk of skipping F1 weekend at Imola altogether

Now, it may just be that the Monegasque's condition is worse than thought at first and there is an actual risk, albeit low, that he will not take part in the race weekend. But Ferrari expect him to be at the track tomorrow, GPblog understands.
Should this be the case, Lewis Hamilton will have a new teammate for the remainder of the weekend in the Scuderia's reserve, former F1 driver and Le Mans winner for Ferrari, Antonio Giovinazzi.
The Maranello-based team arrives in Imola after having its worse race of the season at Miami where their pace was good enough to fight former Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz' stricken Williams, scoring a lowly P8-P9 result.
With news of Leclerc's unwell condition, now the problems compound for an already confused Ferrari.
