Similarly to the 2024 season, Joshua Durksen won the season finale of the Formula 2 season.
Roman Stanek and Gabriele Mini completed the podium at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix's F2 feature race.
Despite treating the fans to a good battle, future Racing Bulls driver Arvid Lindblad and F2 champion Leonardo Fornaroli finished only ninth and 11th respectively after a Safety Car hurt their chances of securing a better result.
Before the feature race even began, Jak Crawford was handed a 10-second stop-and-go penalty for a starting procedure infringement.
Off the line, Stanek could keep the lead into Turn 1, while Ferrari junior Dino Beganovic was up to second place by the chicane.
After a stunning start, the future Racing Bulls driver Lindblad was up to P7 by the end of Lap 1 after starting from 10th place.
The Safety Car was first called out on Lap 2. After Alex Dunne and Victor Martins made contact and spun exiting Turn 7, Cian Shields also hit the Irishman's Rodin Motorsport car.
The race could resume on Lap 6, as Stanek once managed to keep his lead. The Invicta Racing driver pitted on Lap 7 together with Beganovic, and the Swede could make the move stick on the long straight with cold tyres. Pitting a lap later, Durksen could also overcut both.
On Lap 10, the VSC was called out after Sebastian Montoya's Prema Racing car stopped in the final sector, but two laps later, it was upgraded to a Safety Car, which put drivers starting on the harder compound in a difficult situation.
F2 champion Leonardo Fornaroli led the restart on Lap 15, after he inherited the lead following the first set of pit stops was completed. The Italian then locked horns with Lindblad two laps later into Turn 9, but the Italian could stay ahead.
The Briton tried to make another move stick on Lap 21 into the chicane, but by Turn 9, Fornaroli was ahead once again. Their hard-fought battle continued into the next lap, and this time, the future Racing Bulls driver could make the move stick.
Beganovic, who was running in provisional second among the drivers who had already made their first pit stops, received a five-second time penalty.
Lindblad and Fornaroli entered the pit lane on Lap 31. The British talent also made a small mistake, as he first stopped at the Italian's pit crew. In the end, they finished ninth and 11th respectively. Crawford finished in P10, also claiming the additional point for the fastest lap of the race.
