Magnussen still sees chances of Danish GP "at 50%"

Haas F1's Kevin Magnussen still fancies Denmark's chances of hosting a Grand Prix in the future, as the Dane estimates that there's still "a 50% chance" of it happening.

Magnussen is one of the rising stars in F1 right now, as the Dane's performances this year have impressed so much that he even got linked to a Ferrari-seat for next year. Now, maybe trying to force the issue, he argues that the chances of it happening are bigger than people realize.

"It looks better than a lot of people think," he told Formule 1-Magazine.

"Nobody expected it to get this far, but the chances are maybe 50% right now.

"It's possible financially.

"If the government invests in the matter, they'll get that money back with the sales of tickets."

One hurdle that might prevent Denmark from hosting a Grand Prix is the country's image. Denmark is a country that underscores the importance of the environment. F1 is obviously not the most environmentally friendly in the world, to put it lightly. Still, K-Mag thinks this shouldn't be a problem.

"The hybrid technology we use is very similar to the future of road cars," he explained.
