Max Verstappen and Red Bull have entered what is the home stretch o the 2025 season, a campaign the Dutchman refuses to let go of, whilst at the same time making a painful Zandvoort related claim.

Speaking ahead of the Dutch Grand Prix weekend, Verstappen revealed his goal for the remainder of the 2025 season.

"Just try to make the best of it. Every single race we can try to see if there are opportunities and try to learn more about the car.

"Of course next year it will be very different with the car but I'm still very curious also to understand the current car a bit more and how and where we can find a bit more performance to make it a bit easier for ourselves.

Regarding any sort of championship outlook the Dutchman was blunt: "No, not really." Verstappen has long believed he's not in contention for the world title, a claim that the gap both McLaren drivers Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris hold over their pursuers has thus far confirmed.

Vertappen makes painful Zandvoort admission

Regarding Zandvoort the Dutchman made a rather painful claim and aimed for chaos as his best chance to score a surprising result.

"I would hope so [that the RB21 performs better than in Hungary]. That was not a great weekend for us, so yeah, I hope that we can be closer.

"I don't think this(Zandvoort, ed.), is gonna be our best track in the remainder of the calendar.

"But then again, there might be some weather coming in as well. So that always creates a bit of chaos. [I] just need to see what happens," the Dutchman concluded.
