During the summer break internet has exploded about photos reporting Max Verstappen and Toto Wolff on the same yacht at the sea. These voices gave more authority to the whispering about a possible arrival of Max in Mercedes.

Even if before the Belgian GP a clause in Max's contract has been revealed and the Dutch had been announced to drive for Red Bull also for the next year, the thought about Max Verstappen in Mercedes since the 2027 became popular.

This weekend, in his own homeland after free practices, Max has finally revelead what has happened during the summer between him and Toto Wolff.

To ESPN he said: "There's no secret, I mean, I even went for lunch with Toto and the family and I think that's absolutely allowed. It's not even that you speak about Formula 1 business, it's just life. We parked up next to each other because we were in the same bay to sleep and during the day everyone does their thing."

"But sometimes you meet up and you have a good relationship with people. I think that's nice, that it's not only about competition." Max concluded.
