Max Verstappen has spoken with the stewards. In a conversation with, among others, GPblog, the Red Bull Racing driver let us know how the conversation went and what he expects from the outcome.

‘’Well the thing is that nothing happened, we didn't even touch'', Max Verstappen says after the race with the written media. Verstappen had already been with the stewards, where he was the only one.

‘’For me it's a bit difficult to understand why we have the investigation after the race. We explained our sides of the story, well Lewis was not there. I don't think Lewis actually felt a lot for it, because if he really felt something for it then of course he's there in the stewards room, right?''

Will Verstappen still get a penalty?

‘’So I think both of us didn't have the best of weekends anyway So that's just just one little thing. The more important thing is that we have to look at our performance, which was not good.''

Verstappen already let Viaplay know that he is not very worried about the final verdict of the stewards. Ninth or a race without points would make no difference to him. With the written media, Verstappen added further:

‘’I think you know the problem is that we have so many rules, of course, so it's always a complicated matter. It's not always super clear with things, but it's always a bit weird that you have to go to the stewards for something that you didn't have even a contact or whatever,'' concluded the Dutchman.
