Another tough race for Lewis Hamilton, who finished the Hungarian GP in twelfth position—the same spot he started from—and was involved in an incident with Max Verstappen at Turn 5.

After being eliminated in Q2 with the thirteenth fastest time, Lewis Hamilton couldn’t improve beyond twelfth place in the race.

Meanwhile, Charles Leclerc fought for the win through half the race before giving up due to still unidentified issues, also losing out on a podium spot to George Russell.

The Englishman was stuck in traffic for almost the entire race, never able to find his rhythm, finishing outside the top 10 and failing to score points.

When asked about his mood at the end of the race, the seven-time world champion told Viaplay: ''The same as yesterday. Just looking forward to tomorrow.''

He then added that he is looking forward to go on holiday for a while for the summer break: ''Looking forward to just, looking forward to no work for a little bit.''

Hamilton focuses on close call with Verstappen

Finally, on the close incident with Max Verstappen that led to an investigation into the Dutchman, Hamilton concluded: ''I saw him last minute and he was quite close to my rear wheel, so I tried to avoid the shunt.''

With zero points scored today, Hamilton now finds himself 42 points behind his teammate, hoping to come back recharged after the summer break.
