Qualifying for the
Austrian Grand Prix was one to savour. Excitement right up to the last minute and a result, with
Lando Norris on the front row of the grid, that few had predicted. In the qualifying duels, however, this leads to lesser shifts.
With nine qualifying sessions behind us, the relationships between teammates are clear in most cases. At
Red Bull Racing, AlphaTauri,
Alfa Romeo, Haas and
Williams there is a clear number one.
Pierre Gasly and
George Russell are both still unbeaten.
Also at
McLaren, it goes in that direction. Especially if Ricciardo continues to perform so poorly. He has the season all problems with the
McLaren, but especially the
Red Bull Ring is hard for him. Last week the gap with Norris was already big and that became only bigger. The difference in lap time was now almost a second.
