Red Bull Racing are set to reach a special milestone in Formula 1. The Austrian team are set to compete in the 400th GP at this weekend's Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix. Not only Formula 1 is celebrating its 75th birthday on 13 May, 2025, but Red Bull Racing's special weekend also falls on the same week, when the F1 grid will visit Imola in Italy.
F1's anniversary weekend will also therefore be special for the Austrian side as well. The team's first season was in 2005, after the took over the Jaguar team at the end of 2004. For the first weekend, they had the line-up of David Coulthard and Christian Klien, and team principal Christian Horner.
They managed to achieve their first podium at the 2006 Monaco Grand Prix, where Coulthard finished in third place. The team gradually began to improve, and their first victory arrived in 2009 at the Chinese Grand Prix with
Sebastian Vettel behind the steering wheel of the RB5.
Missing out on the title that season behind Jenson Button and Brawn GP, from 2010 until 2013, every drivers' title went to the German, and Red Bull also secured all four constructors' titles.
The team returned to winning ways in terms of the drivers' titles with
Max Verstappen in 2021, and the Dutchman who joined their senior team at the 2016 Spanish Grand Prix has won the championship in every season to this day. The Austrians also collected a further two constructors' titles in 2022 and 2023.
In total, the team have achieved eight drivers' championships, six constructors' championships, 106 pole positions, 285 podiums and 123 Grand Prix victories over the last 20 years.
The team posted multiple photos of their key moments throughout their first 399 weekends on social media.
