Mercedes driver George Russell has kicked off his post-season holiday in style, enjoying a trip with his partner, Carmen Montero Mundt.

The 27-year-old, who finished fourth in the 2025 drivers’ standings, arrived for what appears to be a winter ski trip in the Alps.

Russell, who shared a carousel of images and videos on his social media, arrived at the trip with his partner in a helicopter. The Mercedes driver captioned the post:

“To the slopes ⛷️"

The Mercedes driver and his partner went public with their relationship in 2020, and in February 2025 they marked their fifth year together.

Shifting focus to on-track action, the recently concluded campaign marked his best season so far since his venture into the sport. Russell recorded nine podium finishes, including two victories throughout the campaign.

Wolff predicts 2026 regulations could favour Russell

Earlier, Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff predicted that the regulation changes in 2026 appear poised to favour younger drivers, including Russell.

The 53-year-old, who offered his assessment of the sweeping changes set to transform the sport, pointed to the British driver and Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen as drivers likely to benefit.

The Austrian motorsport chief also stressed his confidence in Russell’s ability to fight for a drivers’ championship, provided the Mercedes team equips him with the machinery to achieve it.

Russell, on his part, has also been vocal about the possibility of challenging for the drivers’ title, highlighting his readiness for the challenge.
