Sergio Perez has reacted following Isack Hadjar’s podium finish at the Dutch Grand Prix. The Mexican issued a one-word verdict on the young driver’s performance after the Zandvoort race.

Hadjar, who ahead of the race weekend, recorded the best qualifying of his F1 career so far — fourth — drove a well-controlled race and maintained his position for much of the Grand Prix. However, fate would soon shine on the French rookie, as Lando Norris suffered an unexpected engine blow-up while running in second place, promoting Hadjar onto the podium.

The Racing Bulls driver took to Instagram to share his reaction with a series of celebratory posts of himself on the podium. Former Red Bull Racing driver Sergio Perez also joined in the celebration, commenting under Hadjar’s post with one word:

“Bravo!!!!” he wrote.

Sergio Perez is set to return to Formula 1 for the 2026 season with the Cadillac F1 team, and both drivers could soon be involved in a full wheel-to-wheel battle of their own in the near future.

Isack Hadjar broke his trophy after podium finish

Isack Hadjar also damaged his trophy in the aftermath of the Dutch Grand Prix. The French rookie broke the handle of his handmade, floral Delft Blue trophy.

Hadjar, who was posing for a photo in his Racing Bulls outfit, was visibly surprised when he saw the base of his trophy break off from its handle.
