Spanish GP weather forecast: what lies ahead for the 2025 title challengers in Barcelona

2025 marks the end of a long period in which the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya was the fixed scene for the Grand Prix of Spain. From next year, the new street circuit in Madrid will bear this name. The current circuit in Barcelona will still be part of the calendar next year, but the Grand Prix will then be given a different name.

The first free practice starts this Friday at 12:30 (BST). The sun shines brightly and the temperature rises to 25 degrees Celsius. The chance of rain is zero and a light southerly wind blows. The second free practice starts later during the day at 16:00 (BST). Conditions then remain virtually identical, with a slightly stronger wind of 18 km/h. The chance of rain is almost nil.

Saturday also promises to be a dry and sunny day in Barcelona. The third free practice starts at 11:30 (BST) with a temperature of about 25 degrees. Qualification begins at 15:00 (BST). It remains dry and the temperature can rise to about 27 degrees.

On Sunday afternoon of June 1st around 14:00 (BST), it's time for the Spanish Grand Prix 2025. Those hoping for a rainy race will be disappointed: during the race, it promises to be dry and sunny as well.

The temperature is around 24 degrees Celsius, with a feels-like temperature of 30 degrees. The southerly wind blows lightly with a maximum speed of 18 km/h.
