Lance Stroll experienced his second crash of the weekend during qualifying for the Dutch Grand Prix in Zandvoort. Yesterday he made a mistake at Turn 3 resulting in a significant crash, this time it went wrong at Turn 13.

On Friday, Stroll crashed hard in the Hugenholtz curve. He remained unhurt, but his Aston Martin was heavily damaged. As a result, the F1 team from Silverstone had to work long on the car, thus breaking the curfew.

Max Verstappen expressed concern over Stroll when he drove past the crash site, possibly considering the hand injury that Canadian sometimes still suffers from.

Saturday saw another incident. During Q1, Stroll lost control of his Formula 1 vehicle upon entering Turn 3 and dipping both of his left hand side wheels on the grass, after which he slid through the gravel and hit the wall.

He could drive back to the pits, but quickly realized that it was the end of the story. Not much later, he got out of his car and his team confirmed that the damage could not be repaired before the end of Q1: he will have to start the GP of the Netherlands from last place.
