As a four-time world champion, Max Verstappen is a popular driver. Songs have even been made about the Dutchman, which often surface on social media. The song ‘Max Verstappen 33’ even made its appearance at the Tomorrowland festival this weekend.
This weekend, the Tomorrowland festival began in Belgium, between Antwerp and Brussels. Before the festival started, the event had already made the news. The decor of the main stage was on fire, forcing the festival to remove it. Instead, large LED screens are now behind the main stage.
The DJ duo Sub Zero Project also performed at the festival. The duo, consisting of Nigel Coppen and Thomas Velderman, took action on the main stage. They played the tune, which many people can recognize from the song ‘Max Verstappen 33’. The crowd massively joined in, chanting the name of Max Verstappen to the tune.
This is not the only time this has happened. During last year's Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike set, the tune of the song about Verstappen was also played. This was the set that made the song even more popular.
Verstappen will also be coming to Belgium in the next few days. The Dutchman will be in action next weekend during the Formula 1 race at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit. The Belgium-born driver has already managed to win one of his home races thrice.
Helmut Marko already announced that updates will be brought to the Grand Prix of Belgium. The Austrian did hint that it's the last hope to save the title chances. The consultant of Red Bull Racing was asked if he thinks that McLaren is no longer able to catch up if Verstappen does not manage to beat the two drivers of the British team. Marko responded with: “That is indeed the expectation. ”
