On their X account, Formula 1 showed the overtake of the month nominations. On the list were Alex Albon, Oscar Piastri, Max Verstappen, Lando Norris, and Lance Stroll.
Overtake nominations
Albon received his nomination with his overtake on Kimi Antonelli at the Miami Grand Prix. Oscar Piastri's overtake nomination also came from the Florida based race, which he won.
Verstappen is nominated for his overtake on Piastri at the Imola Grand Prix. Verstappen's move on Piastri put him in the lead, which he kept and went on to win the race. Piastri is the only winner of the Crypto overtake of the month award so far after having won both March and April.
Another overtake nomination comes from Imola with Norris's overtake on George Russell, but the most surprising nomination comes from Lance Stroll for his last-minute overtake on Nico Hulkenberg at the Monaco Grand Prix. It was one of the only actual overtakes performed
Fans can cast their vote on the Formula 1 website and choose their favourite overtake of the past month. At the end of the season, all the monthly winners will compete for the Overtake of the Year.
