Max Verstappen has had Gianpiero Lambiase as his race engineer at Red Bull Racing for many years. Their longtime experience regularly leads to amusing moments on the board radio. The Dutchman spoke about his relationship with the Italian-British engineer in a video from Red Bull Racing.

Verstappen gives tips for relationship with race engineer

Alisha Palmowski, driver in the F1 Academy, and Verstappen talked about tips for building a good bond with your race engineer. The current world champion in Formula 1 said the following. "With a race engineer, it's not always the easiest, especially when you're new. So I think the more time you get to spend time together during a race weekend or when you're practicing on the simulator, going for dinners, just also a bit outside of the racing environment, just getting to know the person, I think that always helps." concluded Verstappen.
