Verstappen receives congratulations from friends and foes after becoming a father

In social media, many congratulated the four-time world champion on the birth of his first child, Lily. While being often critical of the Dutchman, in an Instagram story, 1996 world champion Damon Hill reposted the images shared by Verstappen and Kelly Piquet, and wrote: "What it's all about."

Hill is not the only one to share Instagram posts congratulating the couple. In a story, Christian Horner wrote: "Many congratulations Max and Kelly."

Verstappen's team, Red Bull Racing, also did the same, writing: "Congratulations. Welcome to the world, Lily."

In terms of the current F1 drivers, other than Verstappen, only Nico Hulkenberg has a child. The German driver "welcomed" Verstappen to the exclusive club.

In 2024, more drivers had children on the grid, but after Sergio Perez and Kevin Magnussen left the competition, leaving Hulkenberg as the only father until yesterday on the grid. Verstappen and Kelly Piquet announced the Brazilian was pregnant after last year's Abu Dhabi GP.
