During the Miami Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton expressed his disappointment in the team over his radio. Afterwards, team principal Frederic Vasseur explained how he felt. Vasseur said, "What's happened today is absolutely not an issue for me."

“I can perfectly understand their frustration when we're asking something like this and I never saw in my life, and trust me that I had to ask this kind of situation a couple of times in my life, I never saw someone say, OK, you can go, it's not an issue, I'm pleased to let you go."
He continued, "It's frustrating because they are feeling that they gave up a position. Now we need just for the benefit of the team, sometimes it's working, sometimes not."

Vasseur said they were all on the same page.
"But we did it with the same goal, and they are perfectly aligned with us. The target was to catch Antonelli, but it's not an issue at all."
According to Vasseur, these interactions have not negatively affected the team. "On the relationship that we have, it's not an issue at all."
