Peter Windsor believes Max Verstappen is 'perfection' as far as F1 drivers are concerned. But Charles Leclerc isn't far behind.

Speaking on his YouTube livestream Short Corners, the former Williams team manager praised Piastri’s hand speed and footwork.

“Oscar has got these incredibly quick hands and probably great footwork,” Windsor said. “I haven’t seen enough to really be able to say that his footwork is up there with George and Fernando, but I think [the best] it probably is, or Max or Charles.”

'Leclerc loses to Verstappen in one key aspect'

Windsor described that there's little to separate Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen in their ability to create 'short corners' and 'manage dynamic weight transfer while under load.

“The only thing I’d say there is that basically, Charles does the same thing as Max, but probably his pulse rate’s about 30 beats a second higher while he’s doing it. He’s just a more emotional guy."

"Whereas Max is the epitome of perfection, really. I think he just does it perfectly and he’s very calm while he’s doing it. Great hands, great feet, great everything,” Windsor concluded.
