The countdown is on for Cadillac, the new team making its debut in Formula 1 in 2026. The American team's first F1 car is expected on the track in six months, meaning they are hard at work with the relatively small staff the racing stable has. It's no wonder Cadillac is trying to poach staff from other F1 teams.
According to the Swiss Blick, Cadillac is currently trying to actively recruit experienced F1 staff from Red Bull Racing.
It's possible their sights are set on Max Verstappen's racing stable, given rumours of some staff members beinjg unsettled after the departure of Christian Horner as team boss.
To entice the Red Bull people, Cadillac is reportedly considering doubling the salaries. This money will be paid by TWG Global, the wealthy financier behind the Cadillac F1 project.
The outlet also reports that Cadillac is shopping around at other teams, but it's mainly Red Bull they're looking at.
Cadillac faces the enormous challenge of setting up an F1 team quickly. Where the competition usually employs over 1000 people, Cadillac is currently doing it with less than half. They want to increase that number, but preferably with people who have experience in the sport.
Graeme Lowdon has been appointed as team boss of the new team. He is responsible for recruiting new people.
