'Drive to Survive' is a key pillar in Formula 1's recent growth. As the new seasons usually drops ahead of the upcoming season, here are some storylines that would be great to see this year.

The first seven seasons of 'Drive to Survive' are available on Netflix. The eighth season will be released on 27 February.

Preparations for 2026

For many, 2025 was a transition year with the new regulations set to be introduced this year. Teams had to select when to switch to developing their 2026 challengers.

Any insight into the way teams prepared for one of the most exciting seasons ahead can only help increase the hype.

Norris finds his inner peace

Many praised the new Formula 1 world champion for finding his feet and becoming more balanced on track.

An episode about Lando Norris' struggles early on while his teammate Oscar Piastri was scoring victories, the aftermath of the Montreal crash and the Zandvoort power unit failure, and how the McLaren driver dealt with all of that to achieve his first F1 title would be one to watch.

Red Bull's comeback

Max Verstappen completed one of the most stunning comebacks in Formula 1's long history.

While the Dutchman is not the biggest fan of the series, an episode about Red Bull gaining ground and confidence throughout the second half of the season with Laurent Mekies at the helm of the team, from the staff's point of view, would be an exciting one.

The surprise podiums

Two drivers, Nico Hulkenberg and Isack Hadjar, scored their first podiums of their careers. After joining Williams, Carlos Sainz finished on the podium on multiple occasions. It was the first time that had happened since 2014. How did these results happen? It would be great to find out more.

Getting to know the rookies more

The 2025 rookies burst onto the F1 scene, and they are here to stay. Hadjar got promoted to Red Bull, Kimi Antonelli scored multiple podiums, and Oliver Bearman and Gabriel Bortoleto also had impressive performances. It would be good to see episodes about F1's young stars.
