The day after the thrilling Grand Prix of Canada, it's time for the premiere of the F1 Movie. The long-awaited film is finally coming out in a few weeks. Tonight, F1 drivers and various personalities within the premier class are present at the premiere.
The official premiere of F1: The Movie takes place Monday evening in New York City in the United States. Although all F1 drivers were invited,
Max Verstappen has already let it be known
he will not be attending. He prefers to spend his free time with his newborn daughter, Lily.
Earlier, the drivers had the chance to see the film during an exclusive private screening in Monaco. Then, the Dutchman also chose to skip this opportunity. Lance Stroll was also absent at that time.
The first drivers have already arrived in New York. They flew directly to the American city on a special F1 plane from Canada. Among the first arrivals are Lando Norris, Esteban Ocon, Franco Colapinto, Nico Hulkenberg, Oliver Bearman, Gabriel Bortoleto, Isack Hadjar, and various F1 team bosses.
Monday evening at 22:30 BST time, the premiere begins with a red carpet where all attendees can be observed. Afterwards, the guests enter the cinema to watch the F1-Movie on the big screen. The live stream of the red carpet can be seen live on the Formula 1 YouTube channel. The film will be in UK cinemas from June 25.
