Hamilton breaks silence on Ferrari future amid contract rumours

After the Mexico City Grand Prix, rumours started swirling regarding Lewis Hamilton and his future at Ferrari.

Due to a disappointing 2025 season that will see the seven-time world champion score the fewest amount of podiums in a season across his 19-year career, the growing rumours suggested that the Scuderia would not offer Hamilton a contract extension.

Having his contract run out at the end of the 2026 season, the 40-year-old barely entertained the question, stating that he has a "pretty long contract" and that he is "a bit far" from talking about any sort of extension.

Verstappen: ‘We need a little bit of luck’ to win fifth world title

The upcoming Sao Paulo Grand Prix will play host to the penultimate sprint race of the 2025 season, handing out extra points in what is turning into a titanic title battle.

Max Verstappen has sliced a 104-point deficit down to just 36 points in just five race weekends, with Lando Norris now leading the way, just a single point ahead of teammate Oscar Piastri.

Despite the fine form shown by Verstappen to close the gap, the Dutchman admits that "a little bit of luck" will be needed if he is to take a fifth consecutive world title and pull off one of the best comebacks ever seen in F1.

Piastri responds to Jos Verstappen's 'stand up for yourself' comments

The father of Max Verstappen stated that the Australian needs to 'stand up for himself', and that if he were in Piastri or Mark Webber's shoes, he would have "slammed fist on the table internally, because now everyone is wondering whether he can handle the pressure".

In response, Piastri stated that "nothing needs to change" behind the scenes at McLaren: "There's obviously going to be difficulties with that, but I respect the team allowing us to both try and fight for the Drivers' Championship."
